Steam

I went for the 10 mile ride (soon to be extended, hopefully, by volanteers) on this handsome beast with a friend who is a railway enthusiast. Very nostalgic.
The station was used in the making of 'The Monarch of the Glen' so its TV name has now almost superseded its  real name.

Re-coupling for the return trip.
Delicate children aren't fashionable any more are they- there aren't adverts like this nowadays. The other one said 'Craven A. Doesn't affect your throat.' Don't get them like that either!

I was delight by this cheeky Griffin. Not sure what he's doing there.

That's the lovely thing about old railways. Volunteers put their hearts into them and they really take you back in time. Did you notice how everyone smiles all the time they are around, and on them?
There are certainly no delicate children round here. They are all riding round and round the street on small bikes during the school holidays and not too quietly either.
Cheers Gillian

I remember Virol, it was that black stuff wasn't it? Agree with gillian about the smiles, I expect we will be sharing a few around old puffers in Yorkshire next week..
